Privacy Policy
The short version: NarrateIQ does not collect, store, or transmit claim numbers, insured names, policyholder addresses, or any personally identifiable information about the people you inspect. Your notes stay on your device.
Who we are
NarrateIQ is a product of Mouseion Fab Works. We make AI-powered tools for property insurance professionals. You can reach us at info@narrateiq.ai.
What we collect
NarrateIQ is designed to operate without collecting sensitive claim data. Specifically:
- Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. This is used solely to authenticate your account.
- Anonymized session logs: We log claim type (water, wind, fire, etc.), token usage counts, feedback signals (thumbs up/down), and timestamps. These logs contain no claim-specific content, no policyholder data, and no personally identifiable information about insureds.
- Voice input: Voice is transcribed on your device using native iOS or Android speech recognition. Transcribed text is sent to our AI processing API. We do not store the audio or the raw transcription on our servers beyond the duration of the API call.
- Generated narratives: Narratives are generated and returned to your device. They are not stored server-side in this version of the product. You retain and export them yourself.
What we explicitly do not collect
- Claim numbers or file identifiers
- Insured or policyholder names
- Property addresses or location data tied to a claim
- Carrier or company names entered into claim notes
- Photos or attachments of any kind (the app does not support uploads in this version)
We built NarrateIQ with the understanding that what you type into the app may contain sensitive professional context. Our design philosophy is to process what you give us to generate the narrative and return it to you — not to build a database of your claim work.
How we use your data
We use anonymized session logs to:
- Understand which claim types are used most frequently
- Monitor API costs and performance
- Improve the depth modules and output quality over time
- Measure beta success metrics (narrative volume, feedback signals)
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
NarrateIQ uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Anthropic Claude API: Your transcribed notes are sent to Anthropic's API to generate narratives and review analysis. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. We do not send any claim-identifying information — only the observations you enter.
- Supabase: Used for account authentication. Email and hashed credentials are stored per Supabase's security standards.
- Cloudflare: Used for API routing and infrastructure. Network-level access logs are subject to Cloudflare's data retention policies.
Voice and speech data
Voice recording in NarrateIQ uses the native speech recognition framework on your device (iOS Speech framework / Android Google Speech API). Audio is processed by Apple or Google on-device or via their own APIs, and is governed by their respective privacy policies. NarrateIQ receives only the transcribed text output — not the raw audio.
Data security
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. API keys are stored server-side in secure environment variables and are never included in the client application bundle. Authentication tokens are JWTs with standard expiration and rotation practices.
Data retention
Account information is retained as long as your account is active. Anonymized session logs are retained for up to 12 months for product improvement purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing info@narrateiq.ai.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you (your email and session log metadata)
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent and stop using the service at any time

Children's privacy
NarrateIQ is a professional tool intended for adults working in the insurance industry. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 years of age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
